I think Murdoch has had Beck's pink slip in his back pocket for some time now.
The guy was poison in terms of attracting and keeping advertisers.
Beck will still be making his presense known. He has radio show and a web site and I'm sure this whole Fox News experience should be good for another book.
I'd like to see his staff carry on the show without him.
I found out things watching that show that were not
ever reported on other media.
(and yes, I checked them out on my own.)
Try turning off the TV and maybe opening up a book. They truly have amazing things in them.
3rd highest tv show on all of cable is not a loser. Fail.
Money is paid for by cable subscribers. Advertising as little to do with it compared to network tv. If you ask me, the times I've been able to see his show, there were way too many advertisers and breaks for advertising, not a shortage.
Advertising still has a substantial impact on cable network revenues. The fees that cable networks get from subscribers they get regardless of content. Content DRIVES ADVERTISING REVENUE. Like all TV networks cable networks can charge higher advertising rates for specific shows that either have high overall rating or draw a specific targeted audience that advertisers find highly desirable.
Maybe he's leaving Fox to run for President.. haha.. Wouldnt that get the left going bonkers..
