Got some links for that, or is it simply your opinion.
I'm against all war at all time.

Agreed. I recall talking to a friend yesterday about this same thing. He seems to think that everything should be cut except Military and that if any cuts are made that it is for waste from the military defense. lol okay cutting out said "waste" is likely to be pocket change to the pentagon. Also keep in mind that he is very much like these wars overseas and doesn't understand the idea that just maybe, being everywhere in the world might actually hurt the country more than it actually helps.

I don't want to see a cut in military budget. Look at the world today. We need to be ready to defend ourself and country. Maybe we should take a look at the situation before we get involved. But you also have big companies making billions from these battles like Halliburton,Blackwater or XE I believe they are now called. So they use their politcal powers for things like this to make billions. But I do believe as someone once said We all sleep peacefully in our beds at night due to rough men who stand ready to do violence on our behalf. Don't cut our brave military peoples pay they really aren't becoming rich. Like the corporations involved in the war.

Too many assumpions in the article? The US has certified that the video is real. What are the assumptions? Doubt you actually read it.
And you are right. When the post starts off with brain washing and the body of the post includes the idiot. That is a huge turn off for me.

They are worthless wastes of money and resources and time.
You're the one who sees it as building an empire.

I call a spade a spade. I see no other reason to be engaging a new country a few thousand miles away every few years. Right wingers are often lamenting about a "Constitutional" government and going back to how the "Founder's envisioned" things. The Founding Fathers would be ROLLING in their graves if they knew what our foreign policy has grown into.

As so do I. So don't be saying that I see it as building an empire when that is an obvious you, point of view.

The military acts on a code of honor. The call to serve is the call to honor, America. The Founding Fathers wrote numerous documents in how we should not, metal in the affairs of other countries. This I agree, with they would bust something if they were here today.

However, I have to look at the call, take it home to self and say, if my neighbor was in need of aid, would I or would I not assist them and what would the deciding factor be? What is the honor code for reasoning?

I at one time said (in email before forum to friends) who died and made us delivers of democracy? Since then I have had to look at that on a much broader scale and find that, which is not of face value to find a good end from what we do as a nation.

Depending on the Whitehouse and who we vote into that place in office, will and does reflect the majority of 'the will' of the American people. It is by the majority of people in this country that we do act...So, vote the person in that will cut the military spending, then hide and watch what takes place afterward.

I guarantee, it won't be pretty.

And where are we defending ourselves or our country?
It's not cutting military pay, it's cutting back completely on the military.
We don't need to be in 3 wars and selling weapons to Israel who then sells them to China at a profit.
Military is not a sacred cow.

FTR, I am a veteran.
Lol, the more times you comment about these matters, the harder it is for me to believe you are a veteran or that you still work for the military (esp since you never say anything to back it up). If you were/are then I can only imagine it's doing something that doesn't really get you involved in any kinds of missions whatsoever if you really believe we provide no service

For many in the military, it is welfare.
Comparing all the hard work we do to earn our money to being on welfare is ridiculous but never surprised when it comes to certain people's mindsets on here.

No way in hell. Many troops still have to buy their own body armor. Just imagine if cuts were made.
