NATO's intelligence-gathering - without US help - seems to be causing friendly casualties. I think they are re-assessing. The reality is 'rebels' are far from a fighting force. Plus, regardless of our likes, Gadaffi still has a following in a couple of key cities. It will be difficult for either side to force the issue. NATO needs to wait it out and maybe cut Gadaffi's oil exports - that may gradually choke his revenue.

Yeah and it would choke the European economy as well which is the sole reason why NATO is in Libya anyways.

A no fly zone is already in effect. Most of the Libyan defenses have been damaged. Surely NATO can do this on the cheap (without US). I am sure they dont want boots on the ground and have body bags coming back. Anyway, at least we need to get out of there....

They don't need troops on the ground. The need more intelligence on the ground and communications with the Rebels. Coordinating that with air strikes would end it quickly. Get Qaddafi and family out of there and allow the Libyan to create their own Nation. I don't know if NATO will do that or if it is consistent with the UN resolution. It may require another Resolution.

I'm sure NATO *can* do just about whatever it wants to with regards to Libya, yes.

NATO (and US forces) have been attacking Gadafi's ground forces since the start. This is not a "No Fly Zone", we picked sides in a civil war and slaughtered Libyans on the ground since the beginning. Why would you support the illegal intervention and regime change in a foreign country? As well as the murder of innocent people? Should we just go around and overthrow the leaders of governments that we don't like?
