The GOP introduced a bill that would ensure pay for troops is not interrupted if Democrats agree to cut funding for planned parenthood, along with an additional $12 billion in cuts. If the GOP cared so much about the pay for the troops why did they attach these other clauses?

The military is a constitutional requirement of the federal government. Planned Parenthood is not.

Why intertwine the two? One has nothing to do with the other. Still doesn't answer why they needed to lump it in one bill. They could have easily presented one bill, military pay, nothing else attached to it.

Comprehension fail. If you want to cut funding for planned parenthood why do you have to drag the military into your argument?? Why not attack it on it's own merit?

The military is part of Obama's health care plan? Even if it was, that doesn't negate the thread. Derailing is against ToS

The Republicans have attacked funding for Planned Parenhood. It was in most of the papers. The military is a national priority. Planned Parenthood (NPR & cet.) are not.

What does military pay have to do with PP? Nothing, except to be used as pawns.
