I painted DH's toenails hot pink as an April Fool's Day joke about 30 years ago. I had a light hand with the brush, and I had done all the toes on one foot when he woke up. He was not a bit amused. When he couldn't find the nail polish remover (I hid it), he angrily scraped it off with sandpaper. I never did anything like THAT again.
