When was the last time you read about how many American people die of preventable diseases from lack of affordable care, and food, and shelter?
Your comment about people dying in the streets is an example of hysteria. That hysteria is abetted by a media sympathetic to Obama and to left-wing ideology (aka people who think universal care is actually good). Show me a nation with a population as large as ours in which the health care is better, then we'll talk. Sick people from around the world show up every single at Kings County Hospital claiming indigence. (They call Kings County Hospital 'The Mayo Clinic of the Third World.') Maybe if we didn't spend so lavishly taking care of people here who never worked a day in their life in this country we could afford to treat more of our own poor folks. As it is, if you're sick and you show up at a hospital they must take care of you.
If you want to compare American health care to that of health care around the world just check the airline manifestos and see in what direction the sick of the world are traveling.
The number one reason health care is inefficient to the degree that it is and so damned expensive is because the number one buyer of health services is the government, and they don't shop like real people do -with value for money as the first priority. And billions of dollars are wasted every year because Medicare and Medicaid aren't insurance companies -they're check writing machines.

All hospitals are supposed to admit in emergency care situations.
Private hospitals do not have to admit non emergency care patients.
Sadly, sometimes patients needing emergency care are misdiagnosed, turned away, and then later die.
Why don't you read the statics, rather than jumping to conclusions it's not credible!! Bush got us into wars, and just what is Obama doing, does Libya and not ending the war in Afghanistan ring a bell!!
