You are kidding, right? Of all the federal employees, the military is paid the worst. Most earn below a poverty level income. In the eight years that I served, I never met anyone who joined the military for the pay.

Your president Obama spit in the faces of our troops and the American citizens when he started a war with Libya.
The military action in Libya cannot be construed as a full scale war unless you have purely political reason for doing so. We have no military ground troops involved and any air resources at this point is rather limited.
Thiis is no more a war than the military no-fly zone was a war over Iraq from 1991 to 2003.
Why do we need a 1.6 million active duty personnel and global policing, again? Who benefits from it? IMO, being puppets to the military industrial complex isn't just stupid, it is a rather expensive hobby.
The people in Formosa probably appreciate it, as they've got China itching to invade them. South Korea may also appreciate it, there's this lunatic to the north that would like to pay a return visit. I'm not fond of the idea of lunatic Muslims flying planes into our skyscrapers or blowing up subways in Spain and London, either.
My statement has been about military throwing the promise of citizenship to immigrants (who normally enter this country on the promise of an intent of non-immigration, BTW), as a lure to join the military. Why? This also includes such "anchor children" that conservatives in this country hate seeing around, largely growing up on "welfare". Now, if they don't succeed on their own, they can't pay for college, they can't afford health care, well, military offers them all and tax payers will pony up the cost. Don't you love it?
Wouldn't bother me at all to deny enlistment to anchor children, however if this was done liberals would be screaming their heads off about how the military was discriminating against them. Ditto to anyone else who isn't a citizen.

I wouldn't call them entitlements, since most service members work very hard for their paychecks and benefits. Also, since the base pay itself is very low, the benefits allow a decent standard of living. Look up a military pay scale sometime, the actual base rates aren't great.
The only ones who spit in the face of the troops are the radical right. Sending our heroes off to die in false wars, destroying families, slashing their benefits,..all in the name to bankroll the rich and feed the chicken hawks.
Thank you for your service. Grunts are the ones that bring the war to the enemy...REMFs are there to make sure the grunts have what they need to do their job. Otherwise they serve no purpose
Many a military battle and in fact wars have been lost becase REMFs didn't give grunts what they needed.
Life is awful rough for a grunt with no food, no ammo, and no medical support.
This is not to hate on the grunts I repsect their job but it's a two way street. A grunt really ain't worth a lot without logistical support.
