If you are foreign-born I guess you get a pass on honest ignorance, but for an American to not understand this is inexcusable.

Nope. Even a foreign born American citizen should know better because of the citizenship classes they have to take before becoming a citizen.
Give it up Andrea, 99% of gays do not choose to be gay. Just because 1 person is either in denial, or maybe was bisexual and surpressed it for her whole life, doesn't mean she chose to have those feelings. or all other gays do too.
For someone who is so "Christian" and "loving" you seriously are determined to demonize gays at every chance you get.
I brought up Baxter, not to prove gays choose to be gay,
but some realize it later in life. Your right, in a society
that has attached such a severe stigma to it in the past,
no wonder. I think the numbers are really much higher,
as a result.
My husband had an uncle who had been married, divorced, but
it wasn't until we found letters when going through his things after he died,
that we found out he was gay.
Of course he was born in a time, when it wasn't okay to
be open about it, and many hid behind unhappy marriages.
I can't even imagine how hard it must be, for someone to live
as something they do not want to be, just to please others/society.
We were sad, that he had to keep this
secret his whole life. We would not have minded a bit,
if he had told us.
Nowadays, everyone I know, that has accepted they're gay,
seems so relieved, to just get it out there in the open and
get on with their life
I think the only choice, is choosing when to tell others
the truth.

When i was much younger i remember hearing some say that each of us, man and women, have a bit of ying yang in us, but that some will cease to never act on these feelings. What you feel about those words. Think i was in my twentys at the time, but i knew what that meant.

I think so...yes.
Most will never act on it.
That is why it happens in prisons and other situations were people are isolated.
I say Irrelavent, but the numbers are confusing, especially if you add Bi into the equation. The other confusing one is woman who identify thereselves as Lesbian only to go back to men later. Were they ever really Lesbian? Was it out of convenience or expectation of their Lesbian lover. Who knows sure?
arent the gays saying that bi is not the same as gay
and that transgender (gender identfication) is also not the same as gay
but when they want a big number they count all........hmmmmmmm
Even in a population of 300 million, that is only equivalent to about 3%. That's not enough reason to redefine marriage and give special rights to them.
