Oh yeah NAFTA was our UNDOING! Remember who the high pressure salesman on NAFTA was? It was none other than AL GORE. Seach for AL GORE and NAFTA on YouTube and see what you find (if they haven't all been removed). There use to be tons of clips of Al Gore debating Ross Perot on NAFTA and of Al Gore giving the big sales pitch to a committee in Congress.

How DUMB can members of Congress be (and what short memories they have) not to remember that Al Gore's last brainchild ruined manufacturing in this country and CAP and TRADE will be even HARDER on us as we'll be forced to cough up even MORE $$$ for less energy... while he benefits. He has to go down in history as one of America's biggest blatent scammers.

Be quiet, the problem is the republicans and democrats themselves are the exact same as each other with the same goals and there games they run to make the people not unite works well. I think your an excellent example of that. You say Obama talks alot and says nothing, so does every single republican. They are all on the same team. Wake up and stop being a sheep.

You are right! Corporations are now considered "people," the laziest and most parasitic of peoples, and they are always wanting things to be free: look at how lazy those corporations are. They are lazy bum parasites.

No it's not. Alex Jones and Thom Hartmann have their own channels on YouTube and they are salient via a Google search.

Also, during the Great Depression, there were many more jobs available in comparison to today, where you need a certain set of skills.

Then, you could walk on the job and get to work, or get on the job training.

I really thnik we have not seen the worse part that makes it worse than the 70's recession with double digit unemployment and inflation. That is because we spent money we will be effected by for decades to come. Even Ryan's plan does not get us out of debt until 2050 at earliest. We have borrowed against the future;big time.No way is this anything like the great depression tho.

Back then, you had the Wall Street crash, with investors and traders jumping out of 40 story windows, which needs to happen today. Our dollar was backed by gold then, so there was no printing gold to bail them out.

Today, the dollar is backed by the little people, who bailed them out this time.

I just hope that there is another site where people can upload film clips that isn't CIA backed or that would somehow be immune from BiG Sis and Homeland SEcurity that has been going around shutting down a lot of perfectly innocent internet sites. Pretty soon UNLESS WE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT there will be nothing but government and corporate propaganda on the internet.

This thread is the perfect example. When I started it, the clips in the first post showing how the "Great Depression" compared to today worked. Now when you click them on to watch them it says they aren't available because the provider closed the account. Yeah right--likely story (not). It got shut down because it was too truthful..is more like it.
