Oh believe me there are plenty who are against legalization on these boards! But also, I would say special interest groups like the paper industry, oil industry, big pharm, police, judges, prosecutors, the drug cartels.... Did I miss anyone?

I am not. So many are doing it anyway, what is the big deal. However i feel there is a reason why those in power, don't want marijuan legalized, and i am more then sure they have their reasons. GREED!

Neo-cons I understand. But from what I understand at one time Obama was a pot head himself.

How sad it is to realize that one of the only recognizable changes that I've noticed occur, (relevant to marijuana usage),
since I was a teenager in the fifties, is the transitional label that has been revised as we, who used to be called "dope fiends",
have now become potheads. It's a label that I can live with, shamelessly.

If it's legal then the government can regulate it - like cigarettes - and collect tax revenue.

Do you agree with regulation of cigarettes? (content/ingredients, no sales to minors....)

Yes but too many lobbyists want marijuana illegal and so, it'll remain illegal
