Is this the new version of the age old " some of my best friends are so and so " The license to make racist remarks.

Who knows. That's an interesting question. It's one that often comes up since anyone who disagrees with Obama or doesn't like illegal immigration is labelled a racist. You don't like Obama Care? Well, then you're a racist. You don't like millions of illegal aliens coming into the country at will? You don't think that we have the infrastructure to support anyone on the planet who wants a better life? You don't think that we have an obligation to allow anyone who's unhappy in their country to come here?
Well, yes in deed- you guessed it....you're a racist.

Apparently so, it is quite annoying though when people deliberately lie over and over and over again.

Yeah, most legal Hispanics here hate illegals.

I would think then that they are not making openly racist statements. Since commenting on anything from showing IDs at the voting site to wishing for fiscal sanity is now considered racist, I would have no doubt that someone commented on the weather and you see them as a Klansmen.

More to the point, if someone exchanges vows and dedicates their life to someone of another race, I think even a 2 year old rcould ascertain that such a person is not racist. Such a person would also realize the obvious- humanity is not composed of some monolithic group of generic beings. Rather humanity is made up of numerous racial, ethnic, religious, and cultural groups, diversity if you will. And sometimes certain differences are going to be mildly noticable, somewhat amusing, and maybe even negative.

Good grief! Two people of different races fall in love and you see racism? You know, these days there is no shame in seeking counseling.

I like the first definition. As long as a person admits that individuals also vary in ability and that those variations are greater than any variation between races then I think that is an acceptable and reasonable definition.

I don't think it's racist to be upset about losing your job to someone who is not suppose to be here in the first place. Black, white, brown or yellow if someone is undermining your ability to earn a living how can you not be upset?
