Seems to me the Rights are half a step from starting a pogrom and forcefully driving all immigrants they don't like over the borders or into the oceans. This much fear and anger is no accident but the result of some very effective propoganda. I wonder who is behind this and what would they gain?

Except, of course, when the "federal nation" speaks illegally.

I've always despised autocracy in rule of law clothing, which seems to be getting scantier with each passing year.

Actually, the appeals court probably did get it right with respect to the way in which SB1070 was worded.

The "spirit" of SB1070 was really not what the courts were ruling upon, per se, but rather upon the "letter" of it's law, the "wording" of SB1070 with respect to the Constitution. What Arizona needs to do is find away to rewrite SB1070 in such away that the "letter" of it will withstand strict Constitutional scrutiny, and still have sufficient teeth to implement the "spirit" of SB1070 that Arizona desires.

Arizona can still do it by writing a carefully worded and crafted document. Think of SB1070 as a first draft. There is still plenty of powder left in the keg, and more being added daily. There is plenty of time to reload...lol

Like the illegals and their supporters have done, the citizens of Arizona will eventually find the "weak link" in the Fed's armor by which to protect themselves against the illegal invasion of their state. That's all they really have to do...

Asked by someone who lives 2,000 miles away from the longest first world/third world border on the planet.

Enough with the lying scare tactics. Legal immigrants are welcome here. But if you're illegally here, then off you go.

We know who is behind this unchecked illegal immigration that we have today. The left, that needs that vote.

Nope, it's the unscrupulous businesses who want to keep their cheap labor. They know that Arizona's Republican leadership won't strenuously enforce the laws against hiring undocumented immigrants. History is on their side with that one.

Also, if you are undocumented, you cannot vote here. In Arizona, you must show ID to be able to vote, and your ID must match the voter registration rolls.

And I live 70 miles from that famed border.

Well the bill of rights is pretty liberal, for the most part, at least in the strictest definition.

It will be appealed.
but it wont be over turned. The supreme court has already made it clear that immigration is a federal issue.

In a powerful concurring opinion, Judge John Noonan paid particular attention to the first section of the law, which enshrines the expulsion of illegal immigrants as official state policy. “That 50 individual states or one individual state should have a foreign policy is absurdity too gross to be entertained,” Judge Noonan said. “In matters affecting the intercourse of the federal nation with other nations, the federal nation must speak with one voice.”
