Nope. Cause it never happened.

Nope, don't remember that either. Your memory must be faulty. Taxpayer funding does not pay for abortion services. Anywhere.

Everyone knows that Public Broadcasting and Planned Parenthood are not entirely federally funded. Let private donations make up the remaining 16% and 9%.

These organizations should not be funded by taxpayers at all. Not even what you consider small portions of their revenue.

Public workers Unions are the culprits in this national Teacher discussion. The retirement contracts secured by unions have become unfulfillable.

Public employees should NOT be able to collectively bargain. Unions get what they want from Politicians and in return unions heavily influence their members to re-elect the favor givers. This cycle never ends and taxpayers are on the hook for expenditures that they disagree with.

Side note: The housing crisis was created by the irresponsibility of Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and the rest of the 2006 Democrats in Congress.

Now, I know that this thread was devised to bash Bush, all Republicans and anyone who hates the idea of a Nanny State. It's just hard to understand why people who are so "Progressive" can't see that it isn't fair to have everyone else pitch in for programs that only Progressives want.

This is a perfect time for you Lefties to chime in and distort what Martin Luther King stood for. Have at it .... the OP's first statement is senseless anyway.

Explain how they haven't already done that, please.

Remember when each and everyone of the above projects had government oversight? They still do. Hmmmmmm....maybe that is the problem. Cut the funding, cut the government, cut the debt.

Maybe you're as wrong as yoopie.

I got a chuckle out of this Wade's World. Really.

I could develop a complex being wrong all the time.

You're gonna like this one.

In some states like Nevada for example - home to my favorite Senator - only 51% of high school students graduated on time in 2008.

Maybe retiring teachers should only receive 51% of their bargained retirement in that state. That way teachers who have failed wouldn't be raping the taxpayer for far more than they deserve.

WHAT% of NPR and PBS funding is federal tax$ .? : Taxes

the fact that only 3 percent of Planned Parenthood's overall services are abortion-related

I remember when you got it all wrong.

I'm not Kirby...

Heck, I don't even have a vacuum cleaner.

And there's no need to thank me for setting you straight.
Keep in mind that little 3% is over 300,000 a year and growing.

And at 3% they are still the largest abortion provider in the nation.

Really?

For a nation hungry for good news about its schools, some promising results are emerging where they're least expected: large-city school districts.
While reading scores for fourth graders are dipping nationwide, they are on the rise in such cities as Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and New York. Some urban districts are even starting to exceed the performance of suburban schools on certain test scores, when students are sorted by demographics and race.

And the parents (remember them...) have absolutely no culpability in that.
