Most countries in the world weren't started with the concepts of liberty.
While this country may have started with the concept of liberty, we are FAR FAR FAR from having it today.
The question you have to ask yourself is, how many immigrants would be coming to America if we had real liberty today? When I say liberty, I mean basically zero government programs. No free healthcare, no minimum wage, no food stamps, no public housing, no retirements, no nothing. Would we even have the immigration situation we have today if the people coming here weren't guaranteed anything, and if the businesses weren't being constantly subsidized by taxpayers, since they are paying such low wages that everyone who works for them is still eligible for assistance on everyone elses dime?
If we brought back the conditions of the early years of this country, you would see immigration, but it wouldn't be at anyones expense. Everyone who came here would receive nothing more than what they have earned through their hard work. And they would only come here if their productivity was more rewarded here than elsewhere. With real liberty, immigration wouldn't even matter.
So you'd prefer to end immigration altogether? That was not your original point and most people would agree that having no new immigrants is a bad idea. I don't understand what your response meant in relation to mine, it seems like a clumsy way to ignore the point.

I agree, that is the point I make with conservatives all the time. They seem to be against benefits, or at least other peoples benefits, they love theirs!
Once we rid the nation of the "illegal benefits", it won't take long to start scapegoating another group. Right now it is easy to blame all of the ills of the world on illegals but what happens when they no longer receive benefits? People will start going after lifestyle choices and decide who is "worthy" to receive our collective dime.
The right will go after sex issues of course and the left will tackle food and other personal lifestyle choices they deem inappropriate.
The left and the right will eventually merge into one authoritarian mass.

it provided the theory of connecting computers around the world to provide a scalable, network through which to share and process information. Using this concept in conjunction with the existing internet backbone, the world wide web would emerge as an new entity for providing communications and enhancing commerce. In 1989, in acknowledgement of his discovery, Emeagwali was awarded the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Gordon Bell Prize which recognizes outstanding achievement in high-performance computing applications.
Basically he helped usher in the world wide web!!!
Tell you what, name any invention created in modern history and more than likely a "Black African" improved it, modified it, and invented something new based from it!!!
It's best to keep Storm front's arguments at Storm front, too many folk here will utterly destroy your assertions.
