From what I remember, Saudis were angry at Obama for dumping Mubarak, so recently they went to look for *new allies* out there, to establish "friendly ties" with Russia and China.

Red China is not "very busy" only in the Middle East, its oil company is busy in Africa too. In Libya for example...

Well question number one - is their economic growth a good thing, and question number two - who helped to create this monster, if not the "ingenuity and entrepreneurship" of American corporations?
I suppose question number three comes only naturally - how does it feel to live in the Wall-Mart economy?

I am aware of Red China's interest in Libya BUT this thread is about Saudi Arabia/Persian Gulf and Red China's increasing stake there specifically. I have a article on Red China/Libya I'll DM to ya.

China is making alot more economic and military moves in the Persian Gulf with oil and weapons and rail deals in Iran, oil and nuclear deals with the Saudi's and new naval bases close by in Pakistan. Saudi Arabia not only is improving relations with Red China but with Russia, Israel should be watching these relationships very closely. To my knowledge Saudi Arabia never made peace offically with Israel after the 67/73 wars. IF the Saudi's got nukes and with Iran's nukes a natural power bond between these 2 with Russian and Chinese support would be very bad. I thinks we should be paying alot more attention to the Saudi/Chinese in relation to the Mid East.
