Is there a "debt crisis" or is it just media hype?

The ceiling doesn't need to be raised if the two biggest pork barrel spending projects are cut, defense and the tax cuts for the rich. Though fat chance the far right would actually want to make real cuts.

Wait until those social security checks stop coming, interest rates rise, gas at $6 a gallon due to devaluation of the dollar on the international markets and you will see such whining from the right.

Yes but since Obama voted aginst it in 2006 its alright now to demand cuts to get it passed. That is why he voted against it to force a issue.

No, don't raise the debt ceiling, don't raise taxes.

Pay the interest, budget with what's left.

Exactly but these are the "holy grail" of the Conservatives! We have had a Bush tax cut for the wealthiest for a decade now so why aren't they creating new jobs????????? Why is Unemployment still so high? Aren't these the"job creators? Or are they just hoarding their cash instead?

As for defense why is it almost 40% of our budget now? Why do we have thousands of troops in Korea? or Germany?

Wait! it's those damn Seniors and Medicare that sucking the life out of America!

You libs = ridiculous.
Problems = Medicare, Medicaid and Defense because they represent 80% of the US spending.
Cons don't want Defense cuts, and libs don't want entitlements cuts..Sorry everybody at the end the three will have cuts.
