I don't think so. President Obama is trying to stay in the middle. IMO

Presidents do not have control over gas prices, unfortunate as it is. If it were that easy, before every election campaign, gas prices would plummet to boost the public's confidence. Big Oil and OPEC are so unethical with their manipulation techniques; remember how the Libyan crisis caused a rise in gas prices in oil exporting nations (ie. Canada)? These freaks will do anything for a dollar, even if it means exploiting tragic events. That's kind of why Obama has always stressed eliminating "dependency on foreign oil"...

I was quite disturbed by the comments because I believe that Obama hasn't really did anything for us, yes social programs are directed towards low income individuals but they benefit all low income Americans. So i don't think this is justifiable.
I have a good income, live in a good neighborhood, and pay my taxes and I don't have any high mind because my president is black .. i go by my daily life so i can pay the bills and enjoy my lifestyle like any other white Asian Latino and black on my street.

I know this question is long but what do you guys think about this remark? I want true opinions because I feel this how most far right conservative think?
What talk show was it on? I'd like to see the transcript.

I guess a lot of AA's are kind of proud he is the president, but if they expected that his color would make him favor them over the rest of society, they were fools bound to be disappointed. Because of his color he will always be very careful not to appear partial in the favor of blacks.

Sure, he may not be as good a president as people had hoped, but I don't understand why, like in this thread, people keep saying he doesn't care about Americans, destroying jobs etc. Outsourcing etc. has been going on for decades, the fault lies with overwhelmingly white management that has always run the US economy and come up with all those methods and theories of how to maximize profits, cut costs, etc. Not to mention the greedy, stingy bulk of the US population that wants to pay as little as possible for as much as possible.
And when US companies manufacture around the world for markets around the world, it makes sense as it means shipping less stuff around the globe. People should be complaining about Apple and the like that produce all their stuff in China and then import it to the US. But hardly any complaint there, nor boycotts...

Hahaha, no. He's done nothing for the AA community. He only caters to his Wall Street buddies, the unions, and the illegals. Oh, and third world countries. Everyone else be damned.

Because he promised change and has only delivered change for the worse.

I agree that we need to take responsibility. I shop for American products and it takes me much, much longer to find them, but I am proud to have done it. I also own an Apple, and I know it is made in China. It bugs the crap out of me but there is not a technology alternative in this instance. We just need to make the best decisions we can and be diligent.

If he is catering to me, I would hope he'd quit being so discreet about it.
