State Department of Administration officials said Capitol police estimated that about 6,500 people were outside on the Capitol grounds and vicinity by about 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. There is no way to accurately determine how many people were attending any specific event, officials said.
A throng of labor supporters still smarting over the law surrounded the tea partyers and tried in vain to drown Palin out with their chanting.
"In vain" is the key word. Couldn't even hear them because there was so few.
Doesn't matter either way - this was a victory rally for the TP, Walker, Prosser and a humiliating defeat for the Left/unions.
Look at this lame excuse for a poor turnout on a beautiful day (high was 57, and it was sunny).
The conservative crowd gathered outside the state Capitol numbered a couple hundred, large by weekday standards but nothing like the thousands who mobbed the Capitol lawn in previous years. With no looming election or health care debate to whip up interest, the chilly rally seemed lackluster compared to earlier gatherings.
"Do you remember the crowd we had? The sea of humanity? ... Some of us are looking around wondering, `Where are the people?'" said Boulder resident Jon Caldara, a prominent conservative activist and talk radio host who frequently speaks at conservative rallies.
Why are there fewer out here? `Cause we have learned better and better how to play the game," Caldara said.
So the TP can have it both ways. Poor turnout = Good. Good turnout = Good! What a bunch of hypocrites!

Apparently so.

Hundreds of teabaggers surrounded by thousands of anti-teabaggers......gotta love it!
Um.....that's not what's happening in the video OR the pictures. In fact, you couldn't even hear the union goons, because they were so far back and on the periphery.
I can understand WHY you don't want to watch the video though.
I just don't like the power that public employee unions wield.
Especially since they are heavily infiltrated by socialists.
