America needs jobs.

America has a debt and government spending crisis.

To raise revenue (to pay off the debt) we should raise taxes on "The Rich" (according to progressives).

How much?

Who cares? They're rich! (say the progressives).

But don't we need jobs?

Sure (says everybody).

But if "The Rich" are paying more in taxes, won't that take away money to hire folks?

B.S. (say the progressives).

Wait, so how does TAXING more GAIN jobs?

The GOVERNMENT will hire (say the progressives).

But what does the government produce?

Ummm....jobs!

But the salaries and training for those jobs are paid with tax revenue.

So, aren't we getting into a trap of using tax money to hire and train workers to produce nothing so that they have jobs?

But that's the beauty of it (say the progressives).

You see...all of the extra money we get by heavily taxing "The Rich" is used to increase the tax base so we can continue to afford hiring government workers so the unemployment rate goes down.

But what about private industry and innovation?

Progressives: Private industry and innovation? BUT...BUT THAT LEADS TO WEALTH...AND SPAWNS...RICH PEOPLE!!!!!!

EVIL!! EVIL!! RICH PEOPLE!!
====================================
Dear progressives,

Rich people aren't evil. They hire people. People like your friends and family.

Hug a rich person today and say, "thank you".

The End.

Liberals would rather tax the rich to hell to support their food stamp welfare programs so they don't have to work for these "rich" people.

After George W. Bush cut taxes on the rich, far fewer jobs were created than after Bill Clinton raised them in the 1990s. That's a fact.

Tax the rich back to 1980 rates. United Health Cares CEO took home 42 million dollars last year. He got that bonus by laying off workers so the bottom line looked good. No sir Ike had it right you have to tax these clowns or they will just hoard wealth.

"The rich" are small business owners, not CEOs of huge corporations. Those are literally the rich. We are talking about "the rich" who make $250k/year, who are the ones funding startups and new franchises and developing their own businesses and brands. Small business owners employ the majority of America's workforce, taxing them to death makes no sense at all. Progressives/liberals just want to see their social programs continue into eternity so they can keep their voting base.

We don't depend on the rich to do the hiring. They depend on themselves to do the hiring. That is how they make their money
