That does not jive with the official Libertarian Party platform. They advocate for the complete absence of all government. No authoritarian power, where the individual is sovereign. That is the very definition of anarchy.
I think healthcare and education should be rights.

How is seeing a doctor more of a "right" than food? Try going as long between meals as you do between doctor visits and let us know how that works out for you.

A work day would consist of 7 hours and the work week would be considered 35 hours, anything over that is up to the employer to decided whether they want to pay overtime. I think productivity would increase if people can enjoy time to themselves and have the opportunity to actually go on a vacation. The minimum wage would be a livable wage and subject to increases depending on inflation.
Spoken like someone who has never owned/run/managed a business.

Then you were not paying attention. Because they state it right at the beginning:
Quote:
As Libertarians, we seek a world of liberty; a world in which all individuals are sovereign over their own lives and no one is forced to sacrifice his or her values for the benefit of others.
...
The world we seek to build is one where individuals are free to follow their own dreams in their own ways, without interference from government or any authoritarian power.
I as a Libertarian believe in limited goverment, not the nanny state in what our current form of goverment is. the goverment is nothing but a tool of force, which is supposed to be the servant of the people, which they are not. goverment in the USA for the last 100 years has been nothing but a master of the people and consider the people they are supposed to be serving slaves.
Tried to rep you, but it wouldn't let me. Good post! And not all Libertarians are for anarchy as one poster mentioned. I myself am OK with with certain checks and balances. One thing Libertarians believe in, is when it comes to violent crimes is more rights for the victims, and that use of force is to be for defense ONLY! Libertarians also believe that prohibition only fuels the black market! Tell me again how prohibition of alcohol worked again? Oh yeah, that's right prohibition brought you people like Al Capone!
The Libertarian nation would be free traders, first in self defense of its borders, and socially liberal and fiscally conservative. Government would meet for one or two months a year depending upon the business and we would thrive as a more free nation than those who love a more equal nation. I eschew equality for liberty because where everyone is equal in every aspect of their nation, you better get out the pictures of Karl Marx. I just say no thanks to the Conservatives as I may agree with a fiscal conserative nation, I reject the socially conservative nation where everyone wants everyone else to be be socially the same under one boot heel. No thanks.....

No monopolies. No "too big to fail." No wars based on corporate interests. No war on drugs. Friendly with all nations, allies with none (well maybe except for Canada).
My guess: the conservative nation would imprison half its citizens on moral issues like drugs and sexuality, and the liberal nation would go broke from trying to support poor and infirmed immigrants who were ignored by the other two nations.
Personally I would want a hybrid liberal-libertarian nation to live in. Get rid of the neo-cons who want to legislate morality so we can discuss fiscal policies.
