From the linked article:
Quote:
Based upon what brain scientists know about the function of the two brain regions, researchers believe the structural differences support the notion that liberals are better equipped to make sense of conflicting information while conservatives are better able to recognize a threat.
Translation: Liberals are better critical thinkers. Conservatives are better knee jerkers.

So, what else is new??

I actually read a few of these articles today. Pretty interesting but instead of focusing on biased studies discrediting another 'party' we should be more focused on finding good people, and figuring out the best way to utilize the assets that each mindset brings to the table to achieve clearly defined unified goals.

The key question seems to be whether those differences are the cause or the result of political orientation.
At the end of the day we need both, complementing each other.

As with most body organs, their effectiveness depends on how much exercise it has had. Brain exercise, comes from thought stimulus. The more open one is to new experiences, the more brain exercise is obtained.
