Sometimes all it takes, is for offence to be taken where no offence was meant, and an innocent person ends up dead, or with their life ruined.

I have never heard "whites" use the term "uncle tom" when referring to "black" people.

"Racist" would discribe something that a person of one race uses against a person of a different race.

When do you ever hear whites call blacks "Uncle Toms"?


It's not racist. It's meant to be an insult, but not racist.

It's not racist. It's meant to be an insult, but not racist.
I've heard both blacks and whites refer to a Republican or "white acting" (whatever that is) black man as Uncle Tom.

I can't find something racist when (1) it's commonly used within a single race and (2) the meaning of it can be seen as a good thing for someone of another race....
