Governor Rick Perry, who at one point in 2009, said Texas had the right, and increasingly a good cause, to secede from the United States, has made a request for federal assistance to help Texas fight increasingly destructive wildfires.
Quote:
Perry said: "I urge President Obama to approve our request quickly so Texans can continue receiving the resources and support they need as wildfires reman an ongoing threat."

Perry is a hypocrite just like any other politician. Why Texas voted for him back into office has me stumped. It's okay to take money now, but when we needed money before, you were too good for it? Talk about seceding now. What a joke.

in addition guys, perry rejected education funds from the government back in 2009 that were to be used for education only....Texas is now in a $27 BILLION dollar budget deficit caused by Perry back in 2006 when he reduced the corporate tax rate for businesses, and thought that sales tax would make up the difference.....and this clown was talking tough last year bout "sending a message to washington"......what an azz clown
