The unelected, unaccountable Fed hands out as much or more money this way as our federal government spends, and yet receives hardly any attention. This is why I believe transparency of the Fed is a critical step to regaining control of our financial situation in this country. We can never get meaningful reforms if all eyes are on the $352 million so-called cuts, and transactions like the $220 million given to Wall Street cronies are done in the shadows. This is why I have reintroduced my Audit the Fed bill to this Congress. HR 1207 is now HR 459 and is essential to true fiscal reform and responsibility.
It strikes me as odd that people on both sides are bickering back and forth about the loss of purchasing power in the form of taxes... rich vs. poor.. corporations vs. individuals, et cetera.
But when it comes to the loss of their purchasing power in the form of Fed inflation, or just the simple fact that the Fed refuses to disclose the details about what it is doing with OUR dollar, neither side wants to talk about it.

I agree and I completely agree with Ron Paul, all this budget talk is Bread and Circus while the FED robs us blind
Unfortunately most people have no clue how the FED works and that's a shame...

Good post. Have you ever watched a hearing that Uncle Ben was questioned? Both sides of the aisle give him soft ball questions and there is major league bi partisan a$$ kissing.

Someone recommended a good book on the Fed & how it got started called, "The Creature from Jekyll Island." Just got it. Haven't read it yet. But it sounds intriguing and seems like a good way to learn about the Fed Reserve for those that are interested. We all need to educate ourselves.

it's not "odd" to me anymore...it's uneducated closed minded individuals who continuously believe this crap from our politicians and the main stream media.
Ron Paul wants to get to the "root" of the problem...plain and simple.
