I've used The Onion News before and was shocked at how many posters thought it was legitimate....but then again those same folks believe everything they hear on FOX News too and/or think Rush Limbaugh is a genius.

You've rendered your post moot since you obviously didn't read the offensive quote. Read it now, and then tell me with a straight face that they weren't explicitly mocking a cognitively disabled child because the child belongs to Palin.
Seems like they were reporting factual information. Saying someone who is retarded, is retarded, isn't "mocking", merely the truth.
