You have to be out of your mind !!!!!!!, they deserve many years behind bars. because of thier stupidity, a parents child is dead. dead, not coming back, dead will never see again........................is there something here that you do not get??????
Last I knew, the suicidal gay student killed himself, not his nosy roommate who's only guilty of filming him in private moments. Plenty of kids have been humiliated but they didn't resort to kiling themselves. How could he have known his roommate was so emotionally unstable?
If I were the guy that was outed to the world I would probably ask for royalties. If he refused we might have a "discussion" involving a great deal of pain and disfigurement. His, not mine. Suicide is not in my playbook.

Exactly. If the experience was so devastating why didn't the other homosexual kill himself too? Despite the publicity nobody knows or even heard of the other homosexual so the fears of embarrassment and exposure are groundless.

Every child is different, some are stronger than others, doesn't make it forgivable what Ravi did....and being humilliated in a sexual manner kinda tops the list.
Point is Ravi didn't know the boy was possibly un-stable, never the less it was still a horrific thing what he did. I only hope and pray that his whole entire life up until the day he dies is completely ruined. I hope everything he tries to do, he fails. I hope he has guilt for the rest of his life, I also hope he dies a very slow and painful death. I have no remorse for this piece of scum that walks the planet.
There is no way he could have known that filming and streaming his roommate's gay sex act would drive him to suicide. A reprehensible prank with a tragic, but unforeseen outcome, yet hardly worthy of prison time.
I think Ravi DID have an idea about his roommate's emotional make-up...
The young man was reportedly kinda small in stature, quiet and shy, and Ravi knew he was gay.....the jerk would not have gotten such a kick out of it had the guy been a straight, confident, big athlete or whatever. He likely would never have attempted it on someone like that.
So Ravi knew the effects would be devastating, that was his plan all along...

The dumb azz FL minister who burned the Koran a month ago, ignoring pleas from the Pentagon not to do so, ultimately leading to rioting and many deaths in Afghanistan was applauded by many posters right here in P&OC who insisted the minister was only exercising his "free speech rights" and had absolutely no responsibility for the events in Afghanistan. Yet, here we are one month later condemning an immature and mean-spirited college student for a stupid prank, the outcome of which could not have been predicted, and many posters wanting to throw him to the lions. A bit of a double-standard, me thinks.
it's very rare i'd be on the same side of a debate with uggabugga, but i guess this scumbaginess of this guy overrules basically any political philosophy.
finally something we can all agree on. this guy is scum.
