i voted yes. I still haven't heard any real reasons for us going there or staying there. If we don't leave now we'll end up there forever fighting for something that has nothing to do with us

There are good investments, and there are bad ones too.

When investments turn bad, time to get out. In this case, the investment is a trillion bucks (or more) and a heavy loss of lives. Bad investment....really bad. But that doesn't mean that you keep doing it hoping for better results. It's not working...time to acknowledge that and leave.

If the Iranians increase their influence there, then too bad. Should've thought of that before we stupidly invaded. But that's no reason to pour another trillion into that place. Especially while we're looking to cut services for Americans right here.

Sorry Iraq. Too bad we screwed up the place, but we've gotta go. Goodbye.

Okay, if we leave and Iran moves in how do you think that affects oil prices?

We shouldn't have even gone there in the first place.

It was relatively stable and secular under Hussein, pro-western is as doubtful now as it ever was. Like the man said, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

And if we leave in 5, 10, 20 more years and Iran moves in, what have we gained?

That could be 100 years, what a waste of American resources.
