Amazing how someone could package stupidity and make it sound intelligent.
There is a segment of intelligent people out there who use their abilities to rationalize their baseless prejudices in seemingly scientific or sociologically supported terms.
I have heard some really interesting theories throughout the years, related to homosexuality in particular, all cloked in impressive verbiage and laid out in the most convincing manner, as if the author really spent a lot of time considering the subject, performed extensive research and devoted immense resources to distilling their "explanatory" arguments into academic term paper essays responses.
For example, one individual (might actually have been on this forum, I don't recall) who had a theory that "most gay men are clean cut in appearance because gay sex is dirty, so they have a subconscious desire to be clean in home and person when not in the sexual sphere." You said it pefectly: Packaged stupidity made to sound intelligent.
Guess you did not ponder the statement enough. Go back and read it again it will come to you.
I pondered it for the .000789 seconds it deserved. We need to slow down procreation at this point in history. And you can't "turn people gay", so no need to worry about heterosexuals being an indangered species.
I don't necessarily agree with everything in this circumstance but, hey, if it pisses off the homophobes then I approve. For all the mud/stupidity/hate they sling around.......usually comes back twice as harsh. Suck it haters!!!!
Kudos to Tennessee I wish they'll make a similar law in NY. Unfortunately they made a law (as do states like NJ and California) that mandates what made this law necessary.

I assume you'd feel the same way when folks said the Holocaust never happened so why bring it up in school!.
figures the liberal pro gay person would be an anti semite.
one is about facts (Holocaust is a historical event) the other is about propaganda (Heather Has Two Mommies is not a world event and certainly should not be taught in second grade).
So, what do they call gay people until then? sissies?
There are plenty of other words available, most of which will be caught by the CD filters. The PC group would be offended by the use of most of them anyhow. Like the use of the "n-word" within the black community, these words are ok for them to call each other but as soon as someone outside uses it, then it's hateful and derogatory.
I tell my daughter about one of her classmates - "No, Susie doesn't have two mommies. She has one confused mommy and her mommy has a confused friend who lives with them. You can still play with Susie at school but she's not coming over for any play dates. Real families have mommies and daddies."
Personally I think gay interactions are ok - as long as both women are *hot*!
I don't hate Christians.
Kids should and certainly do have the right to pray at school.
However, I find it disgusting and hateful when Christians try to force their morals and their way of living on me by legislating their "values" as law at the expense of mine.
ummmm. OK. Seems to me that there is a fair share of values legislation being crammed into folks from your end of the candle ...dontcha think? Schools preaching 'tolerance' dogma on homosexuallity at the expense of people who do not share the view that the latter practice is just okey dokey seems to qualify in that vein. Is it not rather...insensitive ...to the Muslim children in a school to force them to be 'tolerant' against their upbringing? Christianity don't exactly have the lock on dislike of the homosexual lifestyle, now do it? Point bein' here, is, public schools have no place teaching our children such things as tolerance for ...alternative lifestyles.....,religion,political views, etc. That right, whether for good or ill, in any one view, lies with the parents.
