Wouldn't want to confuse religious tolerance with Christianity? If you did, you would sound way to much like Rev. Wright; best not to do that.
Huh? I don't tolerate other religions because they are wrong. I tolerate the people who practice said religions, though, and that is what Jesus would do.
No, but considering that he is very careful to appeal to every other group, and considering the fact that HE CLAIMS to be a Christian himself, why would he not recognize Easter?
He didn't recognize Easter????
He went to an Easter service at a Christian church with his family to do anthropological research?????
"While we worship in different ways," the president said, "we also remember the shared spirit of humanity that inhabits us all -- Jews and Christians, Muslims and Hindus, believers and nonbelievers alike."
That ain't no Easter address. That's a religious tolerance address. I seriously question Obama's true religion as he does NOT act very Christian-like (don't even get me started on Rev. Wright).
So you think you should write his speeches. Because any Easter address that doesn't conform to your expectations doesn't count as an Easter address. Do you understand the concept of "arrogance"?
ringwise, sanrene and renault, please read post #20 before posting again in this thread. Unfortunately you have been mislead by lifelongMOgal, and she does not seem inclined to fix her mistake.
Edit \/\/\/You too, Dockside!\/\/\/
What mistake? Obama did not issue a statement or a proclamation recognizing the national observance of Easter Sunday. That is a fact. Yes, he went to church. Yes, he said "happy easter". Yes, he hid some eggs.
He did, however, issue a statement of proclamation recognizing Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha.

You should really stop taking verbatim false information from the freepers. There was no proclamation for Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, the Hajj or Eid-ul-Adha. There were messages, read either during the radio address' or issued through the press office.
NO PRESIDENT has issued Easter proclamations going back to '72 (as far back as I went) or on Ramadan, et al. There have been plenty of messages and conversations and addresses. But no proclamations.
Obama-haters are never happy. They're cynical, paranoid, and so full of anger that nearly everything they say about Obama is nonsense.
I don't see any anger at all, just making a statement that confirms obama is a corrupt, muslin SOB... If that's the kind of people you worship,,, go for it, maybe he will give you some free stuff....!!!
