Geithner vows to defend strong US dollar policy

Quote:
"Our policy has been and will always be, as long as I will be in office, that a strong dollar is in the interest of the country," Geithner said at a New York conference organized by the Council of Foreign Relations.

"We will never embrace a strategy to weaken the dollar."

Sorry, but the world just can't perpetuate a huge affluent middle class. The Man promises to be a gentle and benevolent master, and being a peasant isn't so bad after you get used to it. Stop whining and have another bowl of gruel.

To be fair, creating and maintaining a strong, affluent middle class takes marvelous feats of social engineering. It's not natural. Not saying that it's a bad thing bc it's not natural. Just saying it's not going to create or sustain itself.

I'll take my gruel medium rare, please.

Since the beginning of the year the US dollar has fallen 6.5% and Geithner calls this a "strong dollar policy"?

How do people support Obama and his appointees?
