Royal wedding coverage = Is the media liberal or conservative?
or is it just "Pro-rich/corporation"?

Let's talk about this.
I believe it proves that it is "Pro-rich/corporation" one more time.
In the last 6 months the media has spent more time talking about the royal wedding than ANYTHING that has to do with middle class Americans.

The media is international. CNN dosent just cater to Americans for instance ... also, Prince William will one day be King of several countries in very close proximity to the United States such as The Bahamas and Canada.

It pretty much says that the mainstream media puts on a show for the most brain-dead in our society, that spend their time watching trivia. It's just a freekin' wedding. Gotta have something for the masses when Dancing with the Stars, Idol and Opra aren't on, I guess.

Seems to me like reasons to not like the Prince/King of England,
especially since we were a colony and had to fight for our freedom from them.

Besides, monarquies is not democratic AT ALL, and we are a pro-democracy nation.

The coverage of the royal wedding has no more to do with liberalism or conservatism than coverage of Punxatawney Phil on Groundhog Day. When Charles and Diana got married it got huge coverage. When Nixon's daughters got married it was a big story. Ditto Lyndon Johnson's daughters. It's just fluff that the media, rightly or wrongly, think people care about.

The forefathers did not have no problem with the monarchy they offered it to Washington and he declined.

Does everything have to fall under this nonsensical liberal-vs-conservative umbrella?

A Pope's funeral also gets media coverage that dwarfs issues concerning middle-class Americans. Conclusion: the media prefers glamour to substance. Who would have imagined?
