Gas was $1.85/gal when 0bama was sworn in, now it is $3.85.gal, blame 0bama, because this is what he wants and this is what he gave us. 0bama wants it to go much higher, and so does his energy secretary.
Why is it that democrats follow policies that will dramatically increase the cost of energy?
0bama hates coal:"If somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted."
Steven Chu hates coal:"Coal is My Worst Nightmare. If coal is to stay part of the world’s energy mix, , clean-coal technologies must be developed."
And the EPA hates coal:Word is just coming down that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has vetoed the largest single mountaintop removal permit in West Virginia history.
...and they want to jack up electricity costs:The Environmental Protection Agency announced Thursday that it will regulate greenhouse gas emissions from power plants and oil refineries next year in an attempt to curb global warming.
...and then again in March of 2011:CHU: Well, the recent spike in gasoline prices following that huge spike in 2007, 2008 is a reminder to Americans that the price of gasoline over the long haul should be expected to go up just because of supply and demand issues. And so we see this in the buying habits of Americans as they make choices for the next car they buy.
*Note to Chu, as energy Sec you are supposed to ensure America enjoys lower energy costs, not encourage higher costs.
0bama's Interior Sec hates oil:Interior Secretary Ken Salazar canceled shale development leases on federal land in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming and launched a second round of leases in the region limited to research purposes.
"Those who have fantasized that oil shale is a panacea for America's energy needs have been living in a fantasy land."
*Note to Salazar, our own energy department under 0bama says we have "hundreds of billions of barrels of oil" in Shale oil in Utah, Wyoming and Colorado.
The EPA hates oil too: The EPA Environmental Appeals Board has withheld critical air permits, forcing Shell Oil Company to scrap efforts to drill for oil this summer in the Arctic Ocean off the northern coast of Alaska.
Shell has spent five years and nearly $4 billion dollars on plans to explore for oil in the Beaufort and Chukchi Seas. The leases alone cost $2.2 billion.
Now get this, the reason why the EPA denied the permits was - global warming
The EPA’s appeals board ruled that Shell had not taken into consideration emissions from an ice-breaking vessel when calculating overall greenhouse gas emissions from the project. Environmental groups were thrilled by the ruling.

The first statement is a complete lie and I had to stop there. Gas was $3.11 a gallon when Obama was sworn into office. Gas prices were soaring under Bush, while he and his big oil cronies were laughing all the way to the bank. Remember when you couldn't give away an SUV a few years ago? Obama got the prices down a few months after getting into office from the disastrous republican administration.
0bama playing more crony capitalism, is picking the winners and losers: (http://news.yahoo.com/s/dailycaller/20110426/pl_dailycaller/obamachallengesrepublicansonoilsubsidies - broken link) “I am writing to urge you to take immediate action to eliminate unwarranted tax breaks for the oil and gas industry, and to use those dollars to invest in clean energy to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.â€
*Note to 0bama, oil and gasoline power our cars, trucks, buses and airplanes, not green energy, and denting oil companies the ability to drill in the US, and blocking the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada will make us more dependent upon foreign oil. All 0bama is doing is driving up the cost for oil and gas and electricity.
0bama has a moratorium on drilling in the Gulf, and his EPA and Interior Sec are doing all they can to stop development and production of oil and coal. 0bama even has the
When will we here reporters badger 0bama about the gas prices as they did to Bush in 2006:
“What do you say to people who are losing patience with gas prices at $3 a gallon? And how much of a political price do you think you’re paying for that, right now?â€
Not saying what you posted isn't true but your sources lack crediblity.
The first two quotes are from an interview he did about year before the election, unless you live under a rock you'll know the remarks made a big splash shortly before the election.

0bama was not 5 years old when he made these comments, he spoke from the heart and he is following thru on what he said, as he drives up the cost of energy, and sends his EPA into the country to carry out his energy policy and regulate CO2. His policies are raising the cost of energy, just as he stated in that interview.
Even Pat Buchanan said presidents have no control over the price of Oil, if they did it would be called nationalizing it and you idiots would scream over that.
There is a big difference, in grades one does the best they can and earn the best that they can. With taxes, people who exploit others to make wealth take away opportunity from others in their exploitation. To make it a more equal situation you would have to have a learning environment where the top 5% grade holders have all the access to learning material and teachers and the rest have to scrap for the 10% of what remains. Then to ask the top 5% to give to those who did not have access to the majority of material it would be fair.
Excellent work Wapasha. The forum Liberals are steering clear of this thread so far. That says alot in and of itself.
Jermaine88, regardless of who did the reporting, are you able to debunk the direct quotes? I'm questioning how much of a conservative you really are, so please by all means, debunk the research Wapasha has put forth if you feel that it is flawed.
