I am quite fond of the M-14 even if it gives me a nearly incurable flinch after the 4 or 5th shot. Until them I can usually keep it within the nine ring. I prefer a slide action 12 ga. For close stuff and a .45 pistol when everything else is out of ammo.
Keeping and owning firearms is one place I am more to the right than most Republicans. I believe a free citizen has a right to own and carry firearms anywhere it is legal for them to be. Only unaccompanied children, certified crazies and criminals excepted.

I'll still buy from my local dealer or a gun show.
Some stores never stopped. No reason they should have to either. However, given that Wal-Mart's motivation is to improve their bottom line rather than standing on and supporting the principle of the 2nd Amendment, I would recommend gun buyers take their business to less fickle dealers. Support your local "Mom & Pop" gun shop!
I remember when our Wal Mart first opened they had a gun catalog where you could supposedly order rifles, shotguns and handguns. I asked the manager and he said they either wouldn't order them or they didn't want to. They sold rifles and shotguns , though. Then they stopped but have a pretty large ammunition selection.
They built a new Wal Mart right next to a Cabelas so it will be interesting if they even bother trying to compete.
