Obama Administration punishes reporter for using multimedia : Bronstein at Large
In other words, she was reporting the news.
Quote:
White House officials have banished one of the best political reporters in the country from the approved pool of journalists covering presidential visits to the Bay Area for using now-standard multimedia tools to gather the news.
The Administration's response: the reporter, Carla Marinucci, was "removed as a [press] pool reporter."
|
Quote:
What's worse: more than a few journalists familiar with this story are aware of some implied threats from the White House of additional and wider punishment if Carla's spanking became public.
Take that freedom of the press!

Amazing isn't it? They want to keep the press silent when it comes to things that might damage or embarrass obama. They use access as leverage against unflattering articles, they bully, threaten and harass journalists to see it "their way". They attempt to get the MSM to ignore and suppress stories that come from the right side of the aisle.
Truly disgusting display of "transparency and openness", obama style.

But, you know, this is the same media that knelt at the alter of O in 2008 so no from me. They didn't get too worked up about snitch @ whitehouse . gov in early 2009, either.

Obama misses his blackberry, appeared at Facebook town hall; it would seem he embraces technology, just not when it's used to show any kind of disharmony against the admin. The press fell for him, now they've fallen further under his control. Controlling the press, isn't that a first step on the road to somewhere we don't want to go?

What is equally embarrasing is that the majority of the MSM will ignore this story. The vast majority of the MSM has lost any credability as objective journalists.

Yes. In 2008, the political narrative was being set by the JounoList crowd. This year it's being set by Donald Trump.
A continued failure by the trade formerly known as the Main Stream Media

From the link:
But the guidelines also say, "Print poolers can snap pictures or take video. They are not obliged to share these pictures...but can make them available if they so choose."
I guess Limbaugh was correct when referring to the "state controlled media".
A 2009 blog by the White House Director of New Media states that "President Obama is committed to making his administration the most open and transparent in history."
We all know that 0bama is all about secrecy, manipulation of the facts and truth, definitely not openness.
