LMAO! He is a stupid, narcissist pig. The term 'President' should have never been given to such a pathetic person.

This is hilarious.

Obama is such a polarizing, partisan child that people are now praising him for doing the minimum of what a president should do. We have come to expect the actions of a spoiled, incompetent child and when he does not act the part, IT IS surprising.

Amazing.

Rare indeed. How many times did Bush 43 go to NY? There was about as much chance of him ever winning NY as there are of pigs flying.

Since it was the first year of his presidency, he wasn't in campaign mode oh, and we're still not voting for this guy.

Default Where is he during the Texas Wildfires?

What would really impress me if he answered Perry's plea on help for the Texas Wildfire diasters. It's been two weeks now and no word from the president.

I agree, it's a part of the job description, but since some presidents haven't met that minimum standard, we've gotten to a point where meeting that standard has become "commendable".
What do you mean he didn't do visit right away after 9/11? Actually his staff had to hold him back as they were not sure it was a safe thing for him to go immediately to NY. Katrina, mistakes, that is accepted by all. Wouldn't it be great if none of us ever did anything we later regretted?

So are you acknowledging that GWB made a "mistake" by not handling Katrina properly? If so, you might be the first conservative to ever do so. Usually, we hear a list of excus-- I mean, reasons why GWB "couldn't" get to New Orleans, or couldn't land, or didn't know, or was given the wrong info, or it wasn't safe, etc... are you saying he made mistakes with Katrina? It would do my heart so good to hear a Republican finally admit that.

This thread highlights the difference - and risks - of having a "political" head of state who, essentially, represents those who vote for him/her rather than one who is essentially a figurehead and whose role is to represent all the people.

the 'mistake' of katrina was by mayor Nagin and the governor of La

bush gave nagin and the governor cartbanch BEFORE the hurricane even hit...all the problems of katrina fall squarely on the mayor and governor
