Unfortunately, America's greatest generation isn't all that great. They're expecting to get back money from SS that was already spent on wasteful programs, some to benefit them (Bush's socialist medicare program being one). If the youth is expected to pay their share of the debt, America's "greatest generation" has to expect not to get SS.
I bet a whole lot of them don't think it's their debt because they're grabbing up all the financial aid and freebies they can. They are the problem not the solution.
