I'm sorry you had such a hard time. There are plenty of good doctors out there. One thing that is complicating this whole thing is the amount of doctor shopping you are doing. If you had gone to the same GYN three times in a row you may very well have gotten better treatment the second time you came back after using the treatment without success. If you are just showing up to a GYN who doesn't know you and giving this elaborate story about your vision and your nonstop yeast infections they are going to do the most obvious thing first, prescribe cream. Doesn't really matter what story you give. It is essential that you have continuity of care with a single physician so that they get to know you. Just because the GYN treated your symptoms in the most straight forward way on the first visit doesn't make them a bad doctor.
This is how doctors think. First, treat the most obvious. If that doesn't work come back in X weeks and we will do step 2. If that doesn't work come back in x weeks and we will do step 3. If you are going to doctor to doctor you are going to get stuck on step 1.
This is typical, Doctors and Lawyers love to peddle water for the boobs in their profession.
And yeah, best to blame the victim for the So Called professionals shortcomings.

My comments have not been focused on diabetes, but rather on the big-picture corruption of the medical industry by the $trillions$ up for grabs through Medicare, Medicaid, and big insurance companies. We (collectively) don't need a tenth of what they're selling. But the system is there and the American public is more easily led than any heard of real sheep.
It's easy money....with essentially no marketplace competition and a customer base so captivated by fear that they don't dare think for themselves. It is thus the one booming business we have left in America and where the largest share of new jobs are.
It is a monstrous and pathetic waste of resources because it's product is purely and simply more obscene wealth for the elite who pull your strings.
Hilarious. My mom is an RN who now works for a health insurance company. I also have a certificate in massage therapy. I was on the nuclear medicine track at a community college before I switched to massage. I am generally intrigued by the body so I do plenty of research on my own, even now. I am one of the most well-informed laypeople out there when it comes to this stuff. Trust me, there is no diabetes conspiracy out there, as I said earlier...just plenty of paranoid people who would make a conspiracy out of anything.
Well, for years I got the exact opposite.....going to the doctor with specific problems.......only to get the old "psychogenic" crap from the dufuses of the medical world......THE DREADED "GP"....know nothing, do nothing.
ALL of my health problems have been diagnsoed by specialists, I went either through self referal or insisting on a referal from the dummy GP.

That's pretty normal. If a GP can't dx you, it's their duty to refer you to a specialist. Or you can self-refer if you have a PPO.
But you're still not getting it. You don't need a relationship with "1-3" primary care physicians. You need ONE. Then you need specialists for different things, and only ONE of each of those.
A second or third opinion is not the same as switching doctors multiple times, either.

Just b/c someone is in the actual industry that you are referring to does not make them biased. It makes them an authority.
Also, I highly doubt your claims of almost dying from a throat infection due to being "brutally mistreated" in a hospital. That doesn't even add up. Sorry.
It happened to me. It 'adds-p', because the doctors were incompetent. Even the nurses kept saying so. So if you choose to disbelieve it, then you're dead-wrong!
As for doctors being an 'authority', you're assumong that they all know what they're doing. If you think that, just re-read cantthinkofaname's post. It should enlighten you, but I doubt it.
It's no skin off myt nose, if you choose to be blind about the health profession. Something terrible might happen to you one day, at the hqands of a doctor. Then maybe you'll wake-up to reality!
Yes physicians do make mistakes and there are bad physicians out there, I think that's obvious to us all. But mistakes and bad care is not what your thread is about according to your thread title. Your thread title is saying that physicians are committing fraud by knowingly diagnosing diabetes to patients who does not have the disease. What links, data do you have that proves your accusations that this is a mass conspiracy?
I've never said that this is a 'mass conspiracy'. That's your assumption, because you can't get what I'm saying. I've also said many times, that the problems within the healthcare industry, go way beyond diabetes. It doesn't take a rocket scientist, to figue out that the big pharma companies, are only too happy, to encourage doctors to push their medications for big profits. That's not a 'conspiracy', that's fact of life in the pharma industry!
