I do not know about decreasing but there is a theory that it has slowed.

I do find it interesting though, the backlash about my evolution comment. You guys really seem to have an emotional attachment to the idea that we all evolved from rocks.

Not all of us.

The beauty of science is that claims can start as hypothesis, and theories (observable, repeatable phenomenon) can be demonstrated. In fact, recently, scientists have discovered a way to slow light to the speed of sound.

Setterfield and Moffet's C-decay theory and 1990's era "research" has been repeatedly discredited even by simple triangulation, and the only people who love them are creationists trying to explain a 6,000 year old Earth.

It's a matter of, well, respect. The modern ToE has been painstakingly put together by the work of many, many people over the years.

It's not so much that you and yours question it, it's that you feel entitled to belittle it without spending the time to even begin to understand it. As is amply demonstrated with your "evolved from rocks" soundbite. That's not the attitude of someone interested in pursuit of understanding.

Not that it matters overly much. The ToE may be swept aside by a better explanation, although I doubt it. But if it happens, it will be done by people who think, experiment and strive to understand. Not by the willfully ignorant people who think that the ToE states that "we all evolved from rocks".
