they may not know that freedom has to be fought for in the world in which we live. fought for from anyone who limits our ability to choose our path....
I'm not celebrating. Dead, alive, or otherwise I feel as though this has all turned out better than Osama bin Laden could have dreamed. After 9/11 we were told to continue on with our lives so the "terrorists don't win."
Well I hate to say it but they're not losing. Osama bin Laden changed the very fabric of the American existence. He's helped put us on the path to police state and made it patriotic to do so. He's cost us billions, nay, trillions of dollars. We're now engaged in two full scale wars, and a "humanitarian" mission in Libya. OBL helped bring us the "Patriot" Act, FISA, Gitmo, the TSA body scanners and strip searches.
Americans are humiliated and treated as criminals and terror suspects by our own government, talk about letting the terrorists win! Everyday American servicemen die in wars that well never end. Nothing can be good enough to satisfy the military-industrial complex.
I can't disagree with this. It all came about as a somewhat over reaction, after a decade or more of sleeping at the wheel, and treating these terrorists as an annoyance and not as a real threat.
The rat dog changed the way America lives.
That is why they are celebrating. It's called PAY BACK.

i lost family member on 9/11 MY SISTER IN LAW COUSIN who is miss daily
but we are SO happy telling her last night in pix etc. saved STILL on our fone
and in our homes. etc. photo albums WE DID IT Hun. we did it!
she was way too young to die barely out of her 20s.and yet dead.barely 30
went to work healthy mother of TWIN BOYS (now 10) & thought she was "coming home as always at 3 p.m."
Just in time to relax, kiss her sons,hug them and watch her fave/our fave soap General Hospital..
a bright sunny day no way in hell we thought this will happen to her,over at JP Morgan her company.
as we always will watch gh soap
on ABC and she just never made it out,luckily her body was found.

she can really as all new york victims,and each one on the planes,the ground all can now truly
"their spirit"continue to live through families as all victims for sure now are truly at peace.

Ok - so the world is rid of that scumbag, which is a great thing. And hats off to our military on a well-planned surgical operation based on great intelligence.
But, does anybody find it odd - even creepy - that people are gathering, cheering, flag-waving, and chanting "USA! USA!" because we killed someone?
Seems awfully savage.
If we hate muslim extremists so much, why do we act just like them?
