We should have turned the body, if any, over to his family in Saudi Arabia. They created him so they should have buried him.

But, but...all this is directly from the CIA, a trusty, honest organization that would never lie to the American people.

This is absolutely hilarious. Quick, tell the media that we buried the body at sea. They'll believe us, we're the US government. Have we ever lied before?

If they ask "how come we buried Osama at sea so quickly. just say, "Well, umm, you know, it might have been kinda hard to get any country to accept it."

Less than 12 hours, and this is already a raging conspiracy theory, with the evidence already conveniently disposed of.

How the hell can the government be so ham-handed? Bad enough that it took us ten years to find him in a palatial mansion in a friendly country.

Absolutely hilarious.

Bin Laden was a Saudi national, but officials tell CBS News that the Kingdom was unwilling to have his remains repatriated.

If anyone did not suspect he was in Pakistan, they have rocks in their heads. Sorry, but they are not our friends.

I am not one for conspiracies, however, do find the oh so quick disposal of the body to be suspicious.

Dumping the body in the ocean makes sense. Hitler's body was burned and disposed of (his ashes and what little remained) lest it become a shrine. You don't let bodies of leaders stick around so that others can use it as a monument to continue a cause.

I agree on your first part - Pakistan is NOT our friend. But I think our government is fully aware of that and they didn't let their "relations" with them stop them from doing what they needed to do.

to announce that you have killed a leader that the fanatics listen to without removing your troops first is equally short-sighted and stupid.

i find it interesting that they also destroyed the compound when they dumped him in the sea.

was that also in accordance with muslim ritual?

ARE OUR SOLDIERS SAFER WITH THE RELEASE OF THIS NEWS??
