Gotta love the race card being played yet once again.
"In fact, several military experts have come out in support of the DREAM Act which would legalize undocumented youth who go to college or serve in the military precisely because it would significantly increase the pool of qualified recruits in the Latino population".
It's all about the illegal aliens from Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador.. Bolivia.. I like how they only think about their own people yet they love to call Americans who want the laws enforced, racists.
The bleeding will never realize that illegal aliens should never even be in this country in the first place... If you were brought here by your parents, go cry to them. The American people shouldn't have to welcome you with open arms.
The law is the law...but apparently we must feel sorry for those "poor little kids"who are brought here against their will, just because the family wants a better life.
Cry me a river.
Watch.. Obama is going to use this guy as the poster child to show the Americans what great things illegal aliens could accomplish if we only gave them amnesty...
Too bad he has been publically identified. Now jihaddists will have a price on his head. Let us hope his family is not in harms way because of this article.
His family lives in Los Angeles.
I bet a muslim jihaddist doesn't stand a chance in that neighborhood. "Outsiders" stick out like sore thumbs.
I call B.S. on this story. Not b/c there is a Latino involved or the son of Mexican immigrants, but b/c the name & the family would NOT release the name of a soldier who they know could be killed b/c of it.
This is a very cool story; however, it wasn't a good idea to release his personal information. (Unless the soldier authorized the release and this is what the soldier wanted)
However, most Americans would be astonished at the number of minorities who have served overseas for the U.S. Army and were highly decorated. In watching several PBS Documentaries over the years I've been surprised with these facts again and again.
For Love of Liberty(2009) and WindTalkers (2002) are two of the ones I remember.

I don't believe this article, AFAIK the SEALS are never to be identified.
He forgot to add women too. But yeah it does matter, seeing as how those 3 groups are right along with the latinos complaining if they aren't included in something.

My understanding is that they are not allowed to identify themselves, either by rule or by honor code, and I believe that it is a huge transgression to do so, which is why I think this article is BS.

I'm sure there were sons of other immigrants - maybe Irish or German? Maybe Polish? Maybe some decendent of slaves also. What's the point in this kind of racism that would focus only on one individual and ignore the rest.
