Obama will get a nice ratings boost for a few weeks, but being the short-term minded sheeple that we Americans are, we will be forgetting about Tim Osman's death when that receipt from the gas pump comes out and you realize you just paid $4.50 for gas.

economic realities will weigh far greater in the upcoming election than the killing of some boogieman on another continent.

Unless another boogieman can be found...

See? The right wing is going to try to spite on this accomplishment anyway they can especially trying to connect it to totally unrelated events. Anything to denigrate would should be a great accomplishment all Americans can agree on.

As the left would say if Bush had gotten UBL : "The killing of Bin Laden has not fed a single child or got healthcare for a poor family or created a single job.".

This "event" has the same relevance as finding a few Nazi war criminals in Argentina 50 years later! The deed was done and they were no longer committing attrocities.

Yes, it is good get closure for 9/11, but people should not read too much into this event. The terrorists have not given up.

I guess you haven't seen all the "Obama is a shoo in for 2012 after offing OBL" comments. Talk about unrelated

Oh and "accomplishment"?
It took 10 years, thousands of lives and trillions of dollars to get one elderly guy with kidney failure hiding in plain site.
lol you may want to check your dictionary for the words proper meaning.

This is a FAILURE of Obama's so-called "diplomatic" skills. We have been told that by electing Obama, we would be respected and our allys would be more willing to cooperate. If all that were true, Pakistan would have invited Barry to tea at Bin Laden's house to deliver an arrest warrant.

I'm trying to connect it to the fact that the honey moon won't last. By the way, I'd recommend you read a book sometime and realize there's more to politics than right or left. I'm far from being on the right.

I would have preferred Obama (with a bullhorn) be dropped into the compound OBL was luxuriating at and talked him into surrendering
Now that would be diplomacy.
