We aren't talking about moon landings but giving retrospective credit to President Bush, who single handedly nearly destroyed the USA.
Maybe you can retrospectively blame Obama for the recession..... If you could...you would.
His analogy makes perfect sense. Apparently you couldn't figure it out so I will explain it. Kennedy propossed the plan to go to the moon. The plan continued until we accomplished the mission. When we got to the moon Nixon was president. It doesn't mean Nixon should get all the credit.
Bush said we would get Bin Ladin. The procedures were implemented to get him and the plan continued until we did get him. Obama was president when we got him. It does not mean Obama should get all the credit.
In both cases all you can say about hte president who was in office when the goal was accomplished is that they didn't change course or cancel the mission. That is the extent of their contribution.

I'm fine with an assassination. Taking him alive would have created a lot of problems that we don't need. Kill him and way you can. They should have treated him the same way the Islamic supremecists treat our captives as well. They should have cut off his head. I wouldn't have cared if they had killed his wife and children as well. Send a message to other terrorists that their actions will have consequinces far beyond their own demise. After all, these people don't care about their own lives. We already know that.
Excellent post. The Republican narrative is so incredibly ridiculous. They don't mention Bush or the residual effects of his policies. Yet when president Obama makes a daring move and does something Bush could never do, they want to attribute it to Bush. Absolutely pathetic. You are spot on!
