You need to tell that to liberals on this thread, and others, not me.

When comparing the two in this aspect alone, yeah, Obama deserves to be put on a pedestal while W gets put back in the dunce corner again.

NOthing matters to the rabid left. They have been told for the last ten years Bush=Bad so that is what it must be. I still wonder what happened to all the code pinko's and the anti war news coverage and daily body count rhetoric once the orator was elected. 1200 US troops have died in Afghan since the great orator took office. We hear nary a peep about that. All we hear about is drone attacks and how great they are. This is the war the democrats wanted and now pretend it isn't even being fought.

I suppose the republi-morons, who insist on trying to re-write history by parroting the bile that comes out of the mouths of their speakers (Limbaugh, et al), because they are incapable of thinking for themselves, also want to give that stupid frat boy (Bush) credit for taking out the high level Al Qaeda dude last week.

Abu Yahya al-Libi, al Qaeda deputy leader, killed in U.S. drone strike - CBS News

Quote:
A U.S. official confirmed that a Monday drone strike in Pakistan killed al Qaeda leader Abu Yahya al-Libi, the most serious blow to the battered terror network since the death of its leader Osama bin Laden, CBS News correspondent Bob Orr reports. Al-Libi's death, which came on the third consecutive day of CIA drone strikes in the Pakistani tribal areas bordering Afghanistan, is a serious knock to what remains of al Qaeda's Pakistan-based core leadership.
Al Qaeda has literally been decimated since President Obama took the oath of office.

Unlike Bush, who said this:

Quote:
"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority.
and this:
Quote:
"I am truly not that concerned about him."
If the election had gone the other way, and McCain had been elected president, and he had given the orders to take out OBL, does anyone think that the hypocrites here who are trying to deny President Obama the credit, would have done the same with a President McCain?

No! He would have been hailed as an "American Hero," with airports and babies named after him.

President Obama can't even get credit for taking out not just the top guy who was responsible for a terrible attack on our country, but virtually every other high level operative in that organization, and the republi-idiots just keep repeating what they hear on Fox.

They just can't give our president credit for even the most obvious achievements.

In Iraqi Kurdistan, you mean, which was de facto independent since 1991. The 2003 invasion did not enable the capture of Mr. Ghul.

But even if it had, the price was not nearly worth paying for Mr. Ghul.

Yes, they caught the guy during Bush's term. So give his administration credit for that.

But they pulled the pieces together, organized a daring raid, and successfully implemented it under Obama's watch. So give Obama's administration credit for that.

What is so hard about this to accept for both sides?
