everyone to his/her own belief: I am glad he reacted the way he did. Keeip the kids calm, there is time react 10 minutes later. We are not talking about a day or so,we are talking a couple of minutes.

In this day and age of instant communications and nuclear weapons, you and Mr. Bush have your priorities wrong.
For all Bush knew, a nuclear bomb could be a threat. Bush didn't want to disappoint some school children to check out an important national security crisis.
Another plane was hijacked while Bush was enjoying, "The Pet Goat!"
BTW, I administer anesthesia directly to patients. I do not "help physicians" I help patients. I also follow through on my responsibilities on a timely basis.
I think you may find that that plane was hijacked before the first one made contact with its tower. Your time line is off just a bit.
First, how long does the president need to "digest" the information that, "America is under attack?"
Next, the first question should have been asked immediately after excusing himself! That question would be, "What is going on?"
All the rest of your supposed digestion is not possible unless Bush knew what was going on and that information was not in, "The Pet Goat!"
I think you need to read what the kids in that classroom are saying today. They are high school juniors now and they seem to have more understanding of what Bush was probably trying to do that day.
Now don't you try to tell me that these kids are liars.

I feel much safer with Obama as our Commander-in-Chief than a president who freezes during a national security crisis!
Take some time to read what those kids from that day think after having nearly 10 years to think about it all. Also, look at where some of these kids are in school today.
Don't see how excusing himself (not running out of the room) polietly and discreetly, would hamper security in a situation like that?
Maybe you need to talk to some of the students in that classroom that day. They are 10 years from the event and seem to have more understanding of what took place and why than any of us who have been fighting the hate Bush battle so long.

Roy, the entire classroom event is on YouTube. I watched it and thought Bush acted incompetently and ineffectively. It is a desperate reach to have 3rd graders evaluate how Bush handled a national security emergency.
