Didn't read the article, huh? Believe it or not, Muslims are not 100% evil. They revere Christ as a sacred prophet, and his teachings are part of the Koran. There is a rock in the Middle East that is considered holy by Muslims because they believe that Christ stood upon it and preached to their ancestors (Islam was founded about 600 C.E.). My physician is a third-generation Palestinian-American Muslim, who just made his haj to Mecca last year; he was raised in Texas and most certainly considers himself 100% American. There are many more like him...there are well over a billion Muslims in the world; if they all wanted us dead, we would be. The Muslim community in New York intended their mosque and visitor's center to be a place of peace. Naive on their part, but well-intended. And the info about the Bush families ties to the Saudi "Royal Family" and their subsequent ties to the bin Laden construction company are well-documented; their ties go back decades. It seems they did some work with Halliburton under Bush '43. It's an unsavory alliance.

It's amazing how many on here are doing the job of the terrorists. Fighting goes on and Americans cannot come together even over this. SAD.

George W. Bush is humble, classy, and perfectly content with staying out of the limelight. This is exactly the opposite of Barack Obama. Bush knows that his contributions to the War on Terror will go down in history as a major turning point in world affairs. He knows that OBL's death is more symbolic than tactical. And he knows better than to be seen with Barack Obama, who has systematically questioned Bush's policies in public while continuing those policies behind closed doors. No one likes a Two Faced Bastard. I don't blame him one bit for laying low.

Bush will be remembered in history as the guy who invaded Iraq (which had nothing to do with 911) and who failed to catch Bin Laden.

That is why he is not showing up. Period.

And in addition, Manhattan voted 85.1% for Obama in 2008 (and something like 83% for John Kerry in 2004, if I recall correctly), so in essence Bush would have been going into enemy territory.

I would have avoided going too, lest he wanted another shoe thrown at him.

Thank you!

Idiocy. But you're entitled to your opinion.

Where are these imaginary reports coming from anyways?
You just said it like it is. I heard it said on Fox today that he had stated that he wanted to stay away from anything that might look like he was trying to take credit for this. Of course, most of the left leaners won't believe that part of it.

I would presume Bush does not wish to in any way boost Obama's re-election chances.
