Interesting to see that this Administration denys that water boarding led to info that helped to locate Osama. I personally do not think any information would have been given up if some form of torture was not involved.
That is such a logical answer, i doubt really seriously if there were no torture involved, that there would not be any yapping. Common sense tells you this does it not.
Not only was he just doing his job, he was protecting his political future. I'm not saying that this was Obama's motivation, but consider what would've happened to his approval ratings if he has not given the OK to take out Obama when given the opportunity and the public found this out. Yes he deserves credit, about as much as we all deserve credit for not speeding through a police-infested speed trap.
I do have male friends who think this is exactly why Obama's timing was now. They said to me look, his approval rating is in the toilet! won't repeat what else they said, lets just flush it down the drain!
I would like to hear one true version, because with the stories changing every day, i don't know which one is real, or will we ever know the true version. Panetta seems pretty straight forward to me.

Just listened to Bill O'Tidely on FOX explain that there ought to be a Law that a Pres has the authority to authorize torture methods of interrogation when there are plots to kill thousands of people so that we can find out about plots to kill thousands of people??? Errr, I guess we will have to start electing Presidents that have ESP. FOX really believes their viewers are dumb, could be they are correct.

At the end of the day I was very comfortable with the idea that our president, our military, and our CIA ect didn't have to sanction the torture of some lunatic fanatic who meant to do us harm..
That was the job of an unsung hero who put his own career and life in jeapordy to get the job done and to protect this country..
