That goes a little to far.. She probably thought this was going to be a private moment. Not everyone wants to be videotaped even when meeting the president..
Stay classy
Sorry but it has now been proven that she knew this was her chance to corner the president for her own political agenda. If this had happened to Bush, the right would have been all over her.
Debra Burlingame who lost her brother on 9-11 and met with Obama today at Ground Zero. She says he was being trailed by a videographer with a still and video camera while meeting and hugging the 9-11 victims families today.
No press cameras were allowed, but Obama had his own cameras there. This whole thing was nothing but the filming of a campaign commercial for Obama. That's why he did this, to tape a campaign spot.
Does this seem Presidential to you, maybe spiking the football too hard?
President Bush didn't?
How many adds showed pictures of ground zero during the 2004 election cycle?
Burlingame describes the encounter with Obama: "As a former attorney I know you can't tell the Attorney General what to do, he said, 'No, I can't.' But I said 'we -- that shouldn't stop you from giving your opinion. We wouldn't be here today if they hadn't done their jobs. Can't you at least give them your opinion.' And he said 'no I won't,' and he turned around and walked away."
It's odd, Burlingame recognizes that the President can't tell the Attorney General what to do during an investigation, but then she asks the President to tell the Attorney General what to do during an investigation. To say that he will not break the law on her behalf is pretty damned far from Obama snubbing or disrespecting her.
She's also cofounder of "Keep America Safe," along with VP Cheney's daughter. That doesn't mean that she's not entitled to her opinion, but it makes it seem like she went in there wanting to make a political point on what was a solemn, informal meeting, and Obama didn't want to bite.
And you prove that you received a progressive education, meaning that it was not very good at all, but the propaganda worked well.
