I'm enjoying the show, so I don't have time to listen to sour grapes, brah.

MORebelWoman's answer seems pretty clear to me. Makes a person wonder how much of your other self lauded reading you missed or failed to comprehend.
Yeah, that she has 5 copies of the Bible. I didn't realize the Bible covered socialism. I suspected that the Christian right considered the bible a science book ,but I didn't know it considered it a political science book as well.

It's hard to believe that anyone in this thread has read das Kapital. Anyone familiar with Marxism would laugh at the thought that Obama is a Marxist. His actions fly in the face of virtually everything a Marxist would desire. Even a Democratic Socialist would balk at Obama's corporatism. A Marxist would never be elected POTUS, and if they did, they would act nothing like Obama.

By the way, I highly doubt that MORebelWoman has read even the first section of das Kapital, especially since she followed it up with "many other books" as a way to deflect the question.

How can you possibly still be missing this part of the response?;

Hopefully it is now highlighted enough that you will see it. Sorry, I can't think of a quick way to help you comprehend it.

I'll say it again: Obama has given no indication he is a socialist. He is a horrible human being and a horrible president, but he is not a socialist in the least. He is a corporatist, pro-war neo-con.

You are preaching to members who cite the Bible as their reference for political theories. Jesus did make a comment about a camel going through a needle is easier than a rich man getting into heaven. Does that count?

Anyone who thinks Obama is a socialist is most likely not somebody capable of having an intelligent political conversation, so this thread is kind of a waste of time.

I do agree with the original poster, and that's speaking as someone with a pretty far left perspective (as in, liberalism is a bad word to me) and as someone who has studied political theory at the doctoral level.

Most lefties I know laugh at Obama being labeled a lefty. Than again, the people who call Obama a Socialist are the same people who call the Democratic party Socialist and believe that Communists control the mass media.

You should read what I wrote about that verse. The eye of the needle was a gate in the walls of Jerusalem, I'm not going to type it out, but its symbolism for the distractions rich people have getting into heaven, not that it's impossible.

When you promote socialist cnetral control overparts of the economy ';you are sicalist. Rather that results in a sicalist democracy as i mnay european stae or what its still promting socialist centralized control over the economy and the fruits produced.The difference between socialism and communism is now they see the fial poutcome of centralisdt contol of production and the fruit of that production. Bascially in communsism the theory is evetaully you will need no governaqmnt once it gets fully implemented.It would just contimue without need for governamnt. Socailism sees it contimuing under central controlled government.Both the chinese and soviet have gone more capitalsit in ginvng up central control more and more .North Korea is a example opf cneralist control economy.Lookig at it verus south korea shows the best examle of the differences in outcome.Rememeber that centralist control means extreme what we call Polical correct thought and actions.
