Yet more History Majors entering the work force.

(I have always been disappointed in a sister of mine who, back in college, thought that majoring in history was a good idea, although she had no plans to a professor, teacher, what have you. My father kept saying "What the heck then will you do with a history major?" Of course, he was right. She has spent the decades working as a cashier, etc.)

You guys are missing the point. They are not hiring the unemployed folks back. For some reason, they are not very attractive for the employers. So they continue to sit on unemployment and that keeps swelling the numbers. In the meantime, there are more layoffs.

Jobs added doesn't mean a thing if the unemployment is not coming down and is in fact, awfully increasing

In order for the unemployment rate to drop, companies must start hiring. How does Obama control how many people private industry hires? If he were to start forcing private industry to hire more workers, people would be complaining that the government has too much control. Can't have it both ways! Seems the anger should be directed at corporate America because they have all of the power.

its pretty sad when the left celebrates 24.9% unemployment for teenagers and 50,000 McJobs.

The news isnt all negative though, manufacturing rose by 29,000 jobs and government sector has decreased.

Striking though, despite the liberals claim about the right destroying the middle class, average incomes have risen by $.05.

Government has a direct relationship to private hiring though things like tax policies and corporate mandates.. The more you demand on both, the less you get of both.. We are beginning to see an improvement now as government hasnt been able to pass anymore demands on businesses lately.
